Wheeling Jesuit is a Catholic, Jesuit university founded in 1954. Our mission is to educate students for "life, leadership and service with and among others." Wheeling Jesuit is located on a beautiful 65-acre campus in Wheeling, West Virginia. Summer Academy students will live on campus in once of WJU's residence halls.


Wheeling Jesuit is proud to offer a two-week Summer Academy to qualified rising seniors from your school. Two sessions of the Academy will be offered:

July 6-17, 2015: Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Bronx, Newark, and Brooklyn

July 20-31, 2015: Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Cleveland

There is no cost to the participants to attend*
*However, a $50 deposit is required to register for the Summer Academy. The deposit will be returned to each student upon arrival at WJU.

All expenses, including travel, loding, meals, and special events are underwritten by WJU and Academy sponsors.

How To Apply

Applications are available at your school's guidance office. Fill out and return your application to your guidance counselor. Applicants must be a rising senior in good stnading at their school and have a GPA of 2.8 or above. You will need your counselor's approval and a signed letter of permission from your parent or guardian (both found on the application form). Applications are due by May 1, 2015. WJU will communicate the status of your application by May 21, 2015.
